The internet offers a wide variety of health and medicine-related websites, blogs, and even podcasts. Sometimes it can be difficult sifting through a plethora of information in order to find legitimate resources — we’ve all been there. With several “research years” under our belts, here are a few free websites that we recommend to start your search.
ClinicalTrials.gov is a database of privately and publicly funded clinical studies conducted around the world. Provided by NLM.
For more than 25 years, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has used improvement science to advance and sustain better outcomes in health and health care across the world.
Mayo Clinic is a nonprofit organization committed to clinical practice, education and research, providing expert, whole-person care to everyone who needs healing.
MedlinePlus is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world’s largest medical library, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
NIH’s mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability.
